Since 1961, Sigma has worked towards a single, simple goal: To imagine, and develop, the technologies that will allow the attainment of the perfect image.
Their collaborative design process unites R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and service. Their standards – above and beyond industry norms – require 100% of their lenses be analyzed by proprietary ultra-high definition sensors and approved before leaving the factory.
Aizu factory in Japan, where their products are crafted, is already famous for its dedication and production integration. Apart from a handful of processes, everything is done in house. This includes grinding lenses, molding plastic parts, painting, mounting substrates, assembly, manufacturing screws and other parts, and machining molds. All their interchangeable lenses, cameras and strobes are also produced at the Aizu factory with this integrated system. With production lines that can be flexibly realigned according to a meticulous production plan and easily accommodate high-mix small-lot production, the manufacturing that takes place at Aizu is SIGMA’s greatest asset.
Based on the principle of “The core technique should be developed by ourselves”, SIGMA believes that as a leading manufacturing and product development company, we should also engage in the sensors while developing lenses which is the soul of photography.
Their solutions consist of the following product categories:
- Cine Lenses
In one sentence, why do I need Sigma?
SIGMA is already well-known in the world of photography as having similar or better quality as the most famous brands, but for a more affordable price.
